PACIFIC OCEAN (April 18, 2008) An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 102 flies over the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) during flight operations. Aircraft are recovered on board in a process known as an arrested landing. The pilot has to maneuver the aircraft's tail hook to grab one of the four arresting wires stretched across the flight deck.
