A Casket bearing the remains of the only unidentified American Serviceman killed in the Vietnam war was placed in state at the Capital  Rotunda in Wash. D.C. on May 25, 1984.  Unimaginably a few years later he was identified through advances in DNA science and was removed for burial in his hometown at the surviving families request.
